Rapture
An interesting word actually - in this context meaning Love. It is an irreplaceable feeling both felt inward and outward towards others. There is much reward to be had by the experience of love, and yet difficult to completely explain it. It is easy to say, "I love so many things," but, the true meaning of love I feel for my husband Dave, our kids Penelope and Cornelius, and close family, true friends, and God. Love, for me, really is the greatest gift.
Romance
Need I say more?!
Relationships
Relationship with others is very important to me, I need relationship, communication, bonding, laughing, joy, friendship, love, and connection. A personal relationship with our Lord is powerful and fruitful as well. I believe relationships are essential for people - but so is solitude.
Retreat
Oh how I love a retreat, which embodies so many things for me: alone time journaling in my "secret place" to God; a great massage retreat to soothe my mind, body, and spirit; a retreat to vacation - I love to travel; solitude; peace and quite; somewhere I can take a nap:)
Relaxation
I love the days, hours, and even minutes spent empty of "to do" lists, homework, work, and responsibility. I love to relax, to let my breath out, and do what ever I please. I love to spend "down time" with Dave, the kids, or friends to Refresh, Rejuvenate, and Recover, from my busy life.
Resplendent Sun
Sunshine brings me happiness and joy. My favorite season of the year is Summer and my favorite part of the winter in South Dakota is the sun gleaming through the coldness. I love the sun: the bright light, the warmth, and the animals it brings out to play and the birds to chirp.
Recreational Activities
I love adventure, games, fun, just about anything recreational. Going along with many of my themes, I wish I had more time to play and relax like I want.
Reflect
Of course I reflect on many things everyday, but this word is most useful for me with journaling. I find much peace in taking time to journal to God, to reflect and pray about the things on my heart. Many times when I feel in conflict about something I find solace there.
Reading
I do love a great book, magazine, and of course the Bible. My reading entails hundreds of pages within my textbooks, all great information, but I look forward to a good read of my choosing in the distant future.
Redeemer
I am thankful with love for our Heavenly Father and I pray I would show this in action more frequently.
Note: These are not in a particular order. Stay Tuned Dave will be posting for the letter "T." These letters were given to us by Mandy to post our top 10 list beginning with these letters:) Thanks!
